I strive to create a safe and supportive environment for clients to fully explore their experiences, feelings and coping patterns. Using a strength-based approach to therapy, I integrate cognitive behavioral and solution-focused techniques that are unique to each client. I believe that people have within themselves the ability, desire and courage to reach out and make the changes necessary for them to attain their goals and live well-balanced lives.
My expertise and interests with children, adolescents and adults include:
- Anxiety and Depression
- Self Esteem and Personal Growth
- Stress and Life Transitions
- Relationship Concerns
- Separation or Divorce
- PTSD (EMDR Trained 1 & 2)
- Domestic Violence
- Chemical Dependency
- Parent Coaching and Reunification Services
I work with children and adolescents on personal or social skills development, social anxiety, anger management, sensory integration difficulties, family transitions, and a variety of at-risk behavioral issues.
For children who have experienced trauma or ongoing conflict in their lives, I utilize art and play therapies. These modalities are useful for young children who cannot articulate their feelings, emotions, and experiences easily. Art and play therapy are useful in helping children put words to their feelings and experiences in a safe environment.
